ABOUT
Michael M. Joseph

Born and raised in the Grays Green Community, as a young boy and the first of 5 children, I very early in life understood the impact my decisions had on humanity and quickly developed a passion for helping everyone. I started my path in humanitarian work at the tender age of 9 years old at the Five Islands Primary School. Shortly after, I became a volunteer and member of the Antigua & Barbuda Red Cross Society and worked my way through the ranks to become the youngest individual to be elected to the role of President in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies at the age of (25) twenty-five years old. I served in this capacity for (5) years from 2015 to 2020 and went on to become an elected member of the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Society’s Governing Board in Geneva where I served from 2017 to 2020.
I have a passion for youth development and youth engagement and have been working to advocate for the involvement of youth at all levels of decision-making.
Professionally, I am a registered pharmacist in the state of Antigua & Barbuda and hold a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Antigua State College, A Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from the University of West Indies and currently pursuing an MBA in Risk Management from the University of Cumbria. I am a proud alumnus of the Ottos Comprehensive Secondary School
On a personal level, I am a recipient of (2) two national youth awards, A Queen Elizabeth’s Point of Light awardee for volunteerism, a United States International Visitor’s leadership Program (IVLP) Alumnus, a recipient of the Halo Humanitarian Award and a co-author of the global book, “We have a dream” written by 201 Young people from 201 countries.
Overall my goal is to help contribute to a better humanity and to serve as an advocate for those whose voices aren’t normally heard. He believes that even if you can only give hope to one person a day, then you have made the world a little better and a little brighter.
I recognized there are a lot of needs within the community and giving back is vital and a great way to help. As such, I am using this page to promote and encourage others to do the same
