The St. John’s Rural West Christmas Fun Camp welcomed 160 young campers for a full week of structured learning, creativity, and holiday celebration. Hosted at Greenbay Primary School from December 16 to 20, the camp provided children between the ages of five and eleven with a safe and supportive space during the holiday break.

Each day was designed to balance fun with exposure and development. Campers participated in creative arts, sports, team-building exercises, and educational visits. Highlights included excursions to the V.C. Bird International Airport and the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force, where children were introduced to different career paths and gained a better understanding of national service institutions.

The camp was made possible through the support of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who worked together to ensure that meals were provided and activities were well organized. Their contribution helped create an environment where children felt encouraged, valued, and engaged.

For many families, the initiative offered reassurance that their children were spending the holiday period in a structured setting focused on growth, safety, and community connection.
